Dunn said maintaining healthy air quality in the state’s metropolitan areas is important, "but this is not the time to implement a regulation that will put a greater financial burden on Alabama households and businesses."

As the nation struggles to recover from a lagging economy in the coming year, Alabamians could also be grappling with a regulatory onslaught from the Obama-EPA that will strangle economic growth, cost  jobs, and dramatically raise the price of goods and the cost of electricity. Dunn met with the attorney general in July 2011 to inform him that the PSC is ready to work with him in any way we can to prevent these regulations from causing electricity prices to increase.
