UCR Carrier Registration for 2009 has begun!
The fastest, easiest way to handle your UCR Registration is online at https://www.ucr.in.gov/.
Or Alabama-based carriers can get 2009 UCR Registration forms here.
If you didn't pay your UCR fees for 2007 or 2008, you should not register for 2009 till you've paid for prior years.
You can still get UCR forms for 2007 and 2008.
If you are based in Florida or Mexico, you may choose to use Alabama as your base state.
Your USDOT number must be active with FMCSA to complete your UCR registration!

NOTICE TO MOTOR CARRIERS AND MOTOR PRIVATE CARRIERS

If you recently received a Unified Carrier Registration Form from the Alabama Public Service Commission it is because you are registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation as an Interstate Motor Carrier or Motor Private Carrier. If you do not operate commercial motor vehicles across the state lines then you are not required to pay the UCR fee. However, you need to change your registration status with the U.S. Department of Transportation. You may do this by filing an updated MCS-150 Motor Carrier Identification Report with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. To make this change, at the top of the form check “Biennial Updates or Changes,” complete items 1-16; item 30; and then in item 22 check box C, “Intrastate Non-Hazmat Carrier.”

If you do operate vehicles across state lines but also have vehicles that operate only in Alabama, you may exclude the vehicles that operate only in Alabama and any vehicles based in another state that only operate in that other state from the vehicle count in section 4 of the UCR registration form. These vehicles may be subtracted from the fleet count in Section 4 under box number 1. By reducing your fleet vehicle count this may reduce the amount of the fee you must pay.
